PGA TOUR 2K23 FAQ

• If you have downloaded Smerf through a PGA TOUR 2K23 QR Code
  • You will be prompted to connect your 2K Account after you have finished creating your account on Smerf.
    
    
• Connecting Games on Smerf
  • In the Smerf app, tap your Icon in the top left to open the Social Sidebar
  • Tap the Gear icon in the top right to open settings
  • Tap "Games"
  • Tap the game you wish to connect.
    
    
    
    
    
• To Disconnect or Change the Connected Account: 
  • Follow the same steps as above to navigate to the Connect Games screen
  • Tap "Remove" in the top right of the "Add your games" screen.
  • Tap the Game you want to remove the connected account for.
    
    
    
    

• 2K Account Not Connecting to Smerf
  • Check to make sure your 2K Account is connected to PGA TOUR 2K23 in-game
  • If your 2K Account is already connected in-game, and it is still not connecting to Smerf:
    • Disconnect and reconnect your 2K Account in PGA TOUR 2K23. 
      
      
• Installation Error
  • Uninstall and Reinstall Smerf.
• Duplicate Account Error
  • Make sure your 2K Account is not connected to another Smerf account.
    
    
• To Connect or Disconnect a 2K Account in-game:
  
  • Visit the Profile Menu (M by default on PC)
  • Select "2K Account" at the bottom
  • Link or Unlink a 2K Account
    
    
    
    
    
    

• What kind of Rewards did you win?
  • Challenge rewards are only given to players once a challenge has been fully completed.
  • Leaderboard rewards are only given out once the Event has ended.
  • Leaderboard rewards are only given out to those achieving a winning placement, specified under "How to Win" on the Event Details screen.
    
    
• Reward Delays
  • Rewards can occasionally take a few minutes before they are awarded to players. Make sure you have seen the Reward Earned pop-up in-app. 
  • Sometimes Rewards don't show up immediately in-game. After a few minutes, try closing and reopening PGA TOUR 2K23.
    
    
    
    

• Through the Events Tab
  • Open the Smerf app and navigate to your Home screen.
  • Press the calendar icon at the bottom of your Home Screen to go to the Events Tab
  • At the bottom, you can filter visible Events by Game. Filter by PGA TOUR 2K23.
  • You can also see any Featured PGA TOUR 2K23 Events in the center of this screen.
    
    
• Through a Community
  • Open the Smerf app and navigate to your Home screen.
  • In the Smerf app, tap your Icon in the top left to open the Social Sidebar
  • Tap on the Community you want to see PGA TOUR 2K23 Events for
    • PGA TOUR 2K23 Community
    • Smerf Community
  • Once on the Community screen, tap "Events"
  • Here you can see all of the current, upcoming, and past Events hosted by that Community.
    
    
• Through Discover
  • You can also tap the magnifying glass icon in the bottom right to search for Events in Discover.
    
    
    
    
    
    

• Find an Event you want to join through:
  • the Events Tab
  • Discover screen
  • Community Events Tab.
• Tap on the Event card.
• Once on the Event Details screen, tap Join.
• You should be able to see the Join Requirements screen. From here, you may have to connect your game account, join a Community, or other things in addition to accepting the Event's Terms of Service.
• Tap Join again.
  
  
  

• Yes! If you join an Event after it has already started, anything you have achieved towards Challenge or Leaderboard progress during the Event duration will be automatically counted.
  
  
   

• Tap your Icon in the top left to open the Social Sidebar
• Tap your Icon again to visit your profile
• Tap your badges at the top of your profile
• From here you can scroll through your featured badges, or:
• Tap "Manage" to see a list of all your badges and change which badges you have featured.
  
  
  
  

• Make sure you are entering a unique Username.
• If you are in China, we do not yet support Chinese phone numbers for account creation.
• Make sure you are entering your phone number correctly to receive a verification code.
• Make sure you are not trying to create an account with profanity, racism, hate-speech, or other NSFW terms contained in the name.
  
  
  
  
  

How are ties on Leaderboards decided?

• If there is a tie on a Leaderboard, whichever player achieved their score first will win the tie.
  
  
  

• Occasionally, stats can take a few minutes to populate from game data. Please check back later.
• Make sure you have tapped the 'i' button next to each challenge or the Leaderboard under "How to Win." There may be important information such as specific modes, courses, tees, or difficulty that you must play to have your stats count towards the Event.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  

My opponent left the multiplayer match. Why aren't my stats counted?

• Unfortunately, no match or player data is received or sent if a match ends because of another player leaving a multiplayer match. Because of this, Smerf is unable to update your stats or display wins in these instances. 
  
  
  
  

My Challenge progress reset.

• Did you disconnect your 2K Account and connect a different account? Depending on the new account's stats, you may not have progress in the Challenge. 
• Is the Challenge a Streak Challenge? These Challenges are meant to reset your progress if you do not maintain your streak. You should be able to see the furthest progress you have made towards that streak.

• Events take all of your data from between the start and end dates, even if you join late. This means that although you weren't yet in the Event, you have already achieved the things required for your Challenges! Congratulations.
